Spring is a busy time in the vineyard, the vines are almost leaping out of the ground with the exuberance of the growing season. Flowering, which takes place in Spring, is the most critical time in the vines’ growing season. This is the time of year when the number of fruit buds that we have meticulously pruned to ‘set the crop’ for the following season must have their immature bunches pollinated in order to produce the all-important grapes.
While the vines are preparing for the coming vintage in the winery the team are putting the finishing touches on the first wines from the current 2018 vintage that will be released; summery whites and Rosé, just in time for the warmer weather.
